Solitaree’s Changes & Refund policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted to us in writing — by e-mail is fine.

We regret that we are unable to issue a full refund for cancellations, because cancellation fee generally depends on the length of notice, type of booking and refund policies of our local providers refund policy. Unfortunately they vary tremendously and we cannot offer a definite one fit all answer as the itineraries are tailor made.

Payment Conditions

Our financial conditions to secure seats are:

  • 50% deposit on booking;
  • balance of 50% is required 90 days before departure.


In case you purchase an itinerary through another travel agent ( Third Party Travel Provider):

  • Solitaree will not provide you with a refund for the purchased itinerary if the itinerary is not used. Please refer to your travel agent.
  • Refunds for itineraries are subject to the terms and conditions that you agreed with the Third Party Travel Provider, not Solitaree.
  • If the Third Party Travel Provider is required to provide you with a refund for the Itinerary, you will receive a refund subject to their terms and conditions including the application of any cancellation fees.

In case you purchase an itinerary through Solitaree directly:

  • Our Cancellation Policy below will apply (unless specifically mentioned in your contract).


If you cancel your Itinerary Product, Solitaree reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee as follow:

  • of AUD500 per itinerary (group or individual) for global amount up to AUD5,000 for one or more travelers;
  • of 10% of the value of the itinerary for one or more travellers beyond AUD5,000.

Should a confirmed booking be cancelled or changed :

  • 91+ days, full deposit minus up to $500 refunded per itinerary as set above);
  • 15 – 90 days prior to arrival: 50% of accommodation & activities and 100% of flights and/or other accommodation will be payable;
  • Within 14 days of arrival: 100% of reservation will be payable.

The fees will be in addition to our local providers refund policy as they have their own conditions.

For example:

  • 3 pax with an itinerary of AUD1,500 each (totalling AUD4,500) will pay AUD500 (whether one person cancels or all cancels);
  • 1 pax with an itinerary of AUD6,800 (totalling AUD6,800) will pay AUD680 (10%);
  • 2 people with an itinerary of AUD6,800 each (totalling AUD13,600) will pay AUD680.


If you wish to amend your Itinerary, we reserve the right to charge a minimum amendment fee of AUD50 per person.

The Third Party Travel Provider may also charge cancellation and amendment fees in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed between you and the Third Party Travel Provider.

Solitaree will not charge a cancellation fee or amendment fee if:

  • you cancel or amend your booking due to a breach by us of our obligations to you or due to our fault; or —
  • the Third Party Travel Provider cancels your booking for no fault on your part.
